Congratulations on the completion of another round of Biggest Loser Turlock!
Just a few stats...

We had 26 participants lose over 10 lbs each!
We had 18 participants lose over 15 lbs each!
We had 11 participants lose over 20 lbs each!
We had 8 participants lose over 25 lbs each!
We had 5 people lose over 30 lbs!
We had 2 lose over 35 lbs!
And 1 participant lost 69 lbs! Yea Haw!

And drum roll please.......

5th place with a percentage of weight loss of 13.2% is Nina Brar-Maggon!

4th place with a percentage of weight-loss of 13.4% is Sabrina Lellhame!

3rd place with a percentage of weight-loss of 15.9% is TJ Fish!

2nd place with a percentage of weight-loss of 16.4% is Kristin Cooley!

And a Biggest Loser, with a percentage of weight-loss of a whopping 21.7% is Kurt Jerner!

Biggest Loser Turlock: RULES

1. The contest is 12 weeks long, beginning TUESDAY, January 7, 2014 with a final weigh-in on TUESDAY, April 1, 2014. The cost to enter this competition is $30... $25 of which goes in the grand prize pot, and $5 of which covers administrative costs and weekly incentives.

2. The winner of the contest is the person with the highest % of weight loss at the end of the 12 week period. This number will be figured by taking the total amount of weight you’ve lost and dividing it by your first weigh-in.

3. You must commit to weigh-in every Monday night between the hours of 4:00pm-6:00pm. We will track your weight loss during these weigh-ins and this weekly check-in will keep you accountable. Weigh-ins are at the following address:

4. Prizes: There will be prize winnings for the top 5 Losers. The Grand Prize will be 50% of the grand prize pot, with the remaining 50% divided out to the 4 runner ups (20%, 15%, 10%, 5%). (If the grand prize pot is $2000, the Grand Prize winner will receive $1000, with the remaining $1000 divide between 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place finishers.)

5. Penalties: You will pay a $5 penalty into a separate prize pot on Monday night if you failed to show up to weigh-in the previous Monday night. Also, you will pay $1 into the same prize pot for every lb. that you gain throughout the competition. Any weight gain gets rounded UP to the nearest lb. (If this week I weight 175 and next Tuesday I weigh 175.6, I will pay a $1 penalty into the prize pot) In the event that we have more than 100 participants, this separate prize pot will be used for payment of our 5th-10th place Losers. If we have fewer than 100 participants, this money will be added to the main prize pot for 1st-5th place.

6. Each participant will have a private folder that will contain their beginning measurements as well as their weekly weigh-in chart. This information is held in strict confidence and no one besides the participant or the administrative help will have permission to view these folders. Each week you will be told at weigh-in your lbs lost for the week, and lbs lost challenge to date.

7. Each week we will update our blog (http://BLTurlock.blogspot.com) with the current challenge standings. We will list the standings in the following way:

• We will list the names and % lost for the current TOP 10 in order from 1st-10th position.

• If you are not in the current top 10, your name will be listed alphabetically with your % lost next to it.

You may choose to have your name omitted from the alphabetical list if you prefer your % NOT be made public*. However, if your % places you in one of the TOP 10 slots, your % WILL be made public so that others know the numbers to beat.

*To have your results omitted from the e-mail standings, please mark that option on your weigh-in sheet. You can also e-mail me at ohiobuckfan@sbcglobal.net at any point in the challenge to request this.

In addition to the current standings, the blog will also include healthy eating and fitness tips and info on occassional weekly incentives. You can subscribe to the blog by inserting your email address in the subspribe box found on the left hand side of the screen while on the blog, about 1/2 way down. If you subscribe, you will receive all posts via email.
